Research Project “Let the Material Talk: Technology of Old Cologne painting from the Master of St Veronica to Stefan Lochner (1380–1450)”
To explore the materials and techniques of late-medieval painting in Cologne: this is the aim of a joint project involving the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud, the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen in Munich, and the latter’s affiliate, the Doerner Institut.
Research Project "Let the Material Talk"
Research Project “Painting Techniques of Impressionism and Postimpressionism”
The Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud in Cologne is home to the most extensive collection of Impressionist and Post-impressionist painting in Germany. This unique collection provided the ideal preconditions for the research project "Painting Techniques of Impressionism and Postimpressionism" from 2005 until 2008.
